How to Bezel a 27mm Cabochon

1. String on 66 11o delicas and move them to the end of your thread leaving enough string to be able to tie your knot in step 3.

2. Run your needle back up through all the beads you've just added forming a circle.

3. Tie your ends to make a knot then cut your tail.

4. Run your needle through a few beads to hide your knot.

5. Pick up 1 11o skip the bead next to the bead your thread is coming out of and go through the next bead. (tubular peyote)

6. Do that all the way around your work then step up through the first bead you added to get ready for your next round.

7. Work your way into the center of your work.

8. Pick up 1 15o and go through the next 11o.

9. Do this all the way around. Then work your way back to the outside of your work.

10. Do two rows of tubular peyote using 11o delicas.

11. Then place your stone face down into the setting you've just made.

12. Then do another row of tubular peyote using 11o delicas.

13. Then do two rows of tubular peyote using 15o tohos.

Then your all finished :)

This is the base I used for the center of this necklace.

Why, Hollow There

These beads are a bit of a pain to make but, they are really cool since the inside is hollow. You make them by making two disk beads side by side but with a gap in between. Then as you build the disks up they will start to cup into each other. When they get on a tiny gap between the two tops of the disks you can seal them off together as one big hollow bead. As you round the bead out in the flame the air that's caught inside will expand and keep the bead from deflating so make sure you don't have any holes in your bead.

P.S. which is your favorite? I really like the one with the hearts on it ♥

I ♥ U

These are really fun to make and I love the ♥ pattern on them. All I did was make dots all the way around melt them in then drag the bottom of the dot down on all of them. Then go back around and pull the top part of the dot down also and doing that gives you cute little ♥s.

Netting with fringe tutorial

I've put together a picture tutorial on how to do netting with a fringe. I tried to do a video version but I failed about three times so I gave up, and decided to do pictures instead. If you try it let me know, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

For a Video Version Click Here

First you start out with your needle and thread, two different colors of size eleven tohos, and size 4mm Czech glass beads (or whatever bead you choose for your drop)

You start off by adding your beads on your needle in the order above. Then move all your beads down your thread leaving an eight inch tail. (1 accent 2 main color 1 accent 2 main color 1 accent 2 main color 1 accent 2 main color 1 4mm round and 1 accent color)

Now run your needle back up your 4mm and pull tight.

Now string on more beads in the sequence show above. ( 2 main color 1 accent 2 main color)

Then run your needle up through your second blue (or whatever your color is) bead from the bottom of your work.

It should look like this.

Now string on these beads again

Then run your needle through your top bead.

And it should look like this.

Then string your beads on again like this.

And go down through your accent color bead in the group you just added.

And it should look like this.

Add your group of beads on again.

Go through your second accent bead in the first group you had added.

It should now look like this

Now add two main color beads a 4mm and one accent color bead and, move it down to your work.

Now run your needle back up through that 4mm bead and pull tight.

Now add this sequence again

And go through your accent bead in the group you added right before you added your 4mm.

It should look like this

Add the group again

Go through your accent bead at the very top group.

Then you should have this. Just keep repeating these steps and you'll get something like this.....

You can make it as long or as short as you want it. You can make a bracelet or a necklace. Leave it plain or add embellishment is up to you. I hope the pictures weren't to dark for you to be able to tell what I was doing. If you would like for me to do more tutorials let me know, and I'll try some more.
